[ There is no one in the world who knows him as well as Tifa does, he thinks. Because for his birthday, she's given him everything he could want. Time off from work, a nice beach vacation, a good book. The resort even has an in resort bakery with some of the freshest bread he's been able to have. It's perfect, he loves it.
So, today while they're lounging on the beach, he's not thinking of much of anything. He's dressed in just a pair of swim trunks, one arm tucked under his head as a pillow and the other holding the coconut that was delivered to them while he drinks it. His book is in the bag to the side but he hasn't pulled it out yet, just soaking up the ambiance for now.
When Tifa asks about the book, he gives a soft hum and sets down the coconut before turning to her. He shifts to lay on his side, propping his head up with an arm and letting his eyes roam the expanse of her body, on offer to him. ]
It's good. Better than the last book already. Thank you for getting it for me, sweetheart.
