Strengths & Weaknesses:

STRENGTHS —

Work-Life Balance: Nanami enforces a strict work-life balance, even so far as having a Binding Vow with himself over working overtime. If he works overtime, his cursed energy output increases and his fighting power is strengthened in order to be able to clock off as soon as possible. This is a strength because unlike other jujutsu sorcerers, it feeds into his perspective of this role being a job instead of eating his entire life and ruining it in the process.

Practical: Nanami is a remarkably practical man, approaching things with a realistic and down to earth attitude. While he was a salaryman, he knew that what he was doing wasn't helping the world but just making rich people richer. As a jujutsu sorcerer, he's also well aware of the limitations on that role and the fact most jujutsu sorcerers die early. He doesn't have any rose-colored glasses about the life that he leads and is sometimes a bit of a downer as a result.

Mentor: Nanami serves as Yuji's mentor during the series and it's quite clear this is a role that Nanami values and respects. He shows care and consideration to Yuji in this regard as well as the other students, taking his role as their mentor (and also protector) seriously, especially when it comes to fighting as Jujutsu Sorcerers.

WEAKNESSES —

Impatient: Nanami is an impatient man and very rarely suffers fools. This leads him to being snappish and quick to judge others. If he thinks you're someone worth his time, he'll give it to you but otherwise, he's very quick to be bluntly dismissive.

Negative: Nanami has a very overall negative view on life. He has a hard time finding fulfillment in life and only found a little bit of meaning after becoming a jujutsu sorcerer and being able to help people like that. But he still struggles to find meaning to his actions and what he does, even wondering if all he's done during life was pointless when he was faced with death.

Avoidant: Nanami is a man who continues to push forward in life, past his regrets, and says consistently that he regrets nothing. But it becomes clear during the course of the series that there are regrets he has (such as Haibara's death) that haunt him and fuel his actions, such as leading him to initially "run away" from being a jujutsu sorcerer.
